Why do they say fast food is bad for our health

Why do they say fast food is bad for our health?
It's just bread=carbohydrate meat=protein. nothing bad about it... you can't eat to much carbohydrate otherwise you get fat, but you don't find carbohydrate only at fast food places lol

It's not that, it's the tremendous amounts of extra fat they add on for flavor. So people think it tastes better. A burger from McDonalds could have around 50g of fat, and the worst of it would be Trans Fat which is extremely hard for your body to completely rid itself of it. 50g of fat is the equivalent of 1hour of moderately hard aerobics.
2 :
True, but don't underestimate how clever these food manufacturers are. They are in business to make money after all. They want you to come back for more, so their food is designed to contained just the right mix of sugar (also carbs), salt and fat to overstimulate certain centers in your brain. Some people literally get addicted to fast food.
3 :
it is bad for u because of how they make it for example at places i rather not say they make food by drenching it in oil
4 :
Because its a days worth of calories in one meal. So you have two more meals in the day and you are far over what you should be in terms of calories.
5 :
its the oils.. fried oils are supposed to be like, carcinogenic right? i think places are using peanut oils to be healthy but, im not sure if that just helps with the trans fats amounts.. ive heard the safest oil to cook with is coconut oil and im sure theres other good oils but i dont know too much about it. like olive oils healthy, but its not good to fry foods in oils.. especially if your diet's poor, no antioxidants and things.. fast food can taste like fake food and not even feel satisfying. carbs are kinda addictive. oh and fast food (fried food) is bad for the arteries.
6 :
It's bad because you can consume up to a day's worth of calories but with little nutrition with it. White bread is sugar with little nutrients. The meat is often processed with additives your body does not know what to do with them. Plus the excessive salt and oils... Sure it is cheap and it fills you up but it equates to you filling yourself up with rubbish. It's a bad bad "meal.

Yes it is full of grease and fat
2 :
it depends on the food. some food when burnt can cause you to get sick
3 :
Burnt meat is known to have carcinogens in it.
4 :
apparently now you can get cancer from burnt bbq. everything causes cancer... bummer. i actually like my food slightly burnt, especially hot dogs. and processed meat causes cancer too aparently. i'm screwed.
5 :
Yes it does. eating burnt food once or twice might not hurt you, but it is now widely known that it contains carcinogens. Every single ounce of traditional value is also basically destroyed.
6 :
nope. not at all. a little burn gives the food more flavor

Why the food proved to be good for our health are not as tasty as others?

Why the food proved to be good for our health are not as tasty as others?

different sugar used real fruit and veges used not artificial flavors organic food used less perserves and additives
2 :
well that question will remain a question forever..and m still looking for the answer.
3 :
It's just cause our taste buds are useto what isn't healthy.. so naturally healthy foods may not seem tasty to you right away but after you get useto them some unhealthy foods no longer taste good to you!
4 :
We have trained our palates - and now we expect -- the things that make food TASTE good to us are -- Salt, Sugar, and Fat. When we take away salt, sugar, and fat, - we take away the taste (at least the taste that we have grown to expect). If we take away any of the three, or any combination of them - we begin to call the food -tasteless-. Watch how often we steer away from labels that say -"no sodium,no calories, fat free". It's not necessarily this way in every country. But it seems to be well rooted in developed countries. We can retrain our palates, but only if we are willing.
5 :
We are conditioned by advertising to think the junk food tastes better. A healthy diet was never a priority until recently when they started adding up the alarming numbers on health care costs.
6 :
I do not agree with that statement. Then again, it can also depend on how you were raised, what you were raised to eat. If you're used to eating junk like french fries, cheeseburgers, fried chicken as a kid, and hardly eat healthier foods, than thats what you're used to. I grew up eating junk very minimally( a few times a yr) but ate healthier italian and american meals which included lots of veggies and fruits, and I tend to prefer healthier foods now as an adult.
7 :
I feel like it's because a lot of the things that claim to be healthy, really aren't. For instance, those Healthy Start frozen dinner kind of things. They claim to be good for you because they're low fat or something like that, but the truth is, it's still really bad for you. Food that is made fresh with all natural ingredients is usually excellent, especially when made with expertise. My advice is to find a local vegetarian restaurant with a high rating and go without expectations. Don't expect the fake meat to taste like meat, and be open minded. You might be pleasantly surprised.
8 :
Don't you think apples taste good? Strawberries? Yum. I think junk food is just an illusion because of all the salt added. I don't even eat it anymore because I realized that it is really gross. If you really stop and think about it, does it taste good at all?
9 :
I disagree with you completely.
10 :
I am not agree with others! I have a universal law for all things... I can prove it, If you eat or use anything, I says ANYTHING, only for three weeks then you will be love these things. When you wanna avoid then you feels that its so hard to be avoid these things as food or habit. The tast shows our likeness and love for food, our culture and family background decides that what we are eating and what is for healthy for us, something good and something wrong, we are made from both. We liking that what our parents and friends likes, so it's only matter of learning, accept in habit and practicing. Go for good things and absorbe them in to your habit. Best wishes for your future...go vegan.

Do people really think that healthy food is expensive

Do people really think that healthy food is expensive?
I asked a question last week involving the grocery shopping habits of overweight people. I got a lot of responses, both positive and negative, but nothing I did not expect. The only thing that surprised me is how many people mentioned that health food is expensive. I have seriously always viewed healthy food as cheaper than junk food. Yes, organic cereal and some produce is expensive. But things like eggs, bananas, potatoes, oatmeal, cheese, and milk are way cheaper than bags of chips, hotpockets, or fast food. What do others think? Is it cheaper to go grocery shopping and buy unhealthy food? Or is a cart full of healthy food cheaper? Because in college my cart was full of the healthy food that I listed above and I spent only about $30 on my weekly shopping trip, which was good because that was all that I could afford!

I shop only for heathy food and find it inexpensive because I make most of my meals from scratch. Unhealthy foods are more expensive and also drain you financially because of the extra health issues people get from consuming it daily(ie-obesity,diabetes,gut rot, diarrhea,Irritable Bowel.......)
2 :
Not only do they shop for "unhealthy" food they shop for convenience. If it can be thrown in the microwave instead of actually cooking they buy it.
3 :
You are so right. Healthy food is not expensive, compared to the price of JUNK food. And as one reader said, junk food if the choice of many people because just take it out of the pack, and throw it into the microwave! As another reader said about cooking, doesn't take a Chef to boil water for noodles or rice, grill up some chicken breast, and make a salad!
4 :
I understand what you mean, and the reverse is actually true. Citrus fruits with fibre and Vitamin C are great fruits that replace candy. Just realize that when you actually eat chocolate slowly and actually CHEW, it tastes like crap. But strawberrys and oranges replace your need for sugar filled treats. Lean meats, slowly sauteed with garlic and lemongrass and herbs are truly delicious. If you buy them at the health food store, then they will be more expensive. Hotpockets are actually really expensive for just one meal.... And they don't taste too good reheated. But yummy easy to make food is as easy as tossing in ingredients and mixing....They also are most of the time easy to make, and will keep your immunity high and disease at bay.

I think you should worry more about whats inside her and you for that matter. We all get old and wrinkly and fat at some point. Even if she stays thin and skinny she will still get wrinkles etc..Are you prepared to deal with old age, doesnt sound like it...
2 :
green vegetable and salad in routine
3 :
I'm sure compliments go pretty far not buying her food she's not a pet.
4 :
Health foods are a con. She just needs to avoid overeating. Do you love your wife or are you just physically attracted to her?
5 :
